Meet Bonifacio Barrera with Karsten Interior Services as our Empowerment Award recipient this week! Every day, without fail, Bonifacio convenes a safety meeting with his crew. Here, he crafts his Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), a critical safety procedure, and he doesn't do it alone – he involves his entire crew in its development. This inclusive approach ensures everyone's input is valued and everyone is aware of potential hazards. His contributions to safety and production make him an indispensable site team member. Our Trinity Basin Preparatory Public Schools Tyler Street team has been steadfast in their commitment to maintaining safety standards and encouraging all team members to adopt a strong safety culture.   Despite being our busiest time with 6 activities happening simultaneously, we have recorded up to 10 positive observations and only 3 negative safety observations. This is a significant increase from the 1-2 positive observations we used to receive per week while also having multiple negative observations. We have now reached 15 positive observations.   To celebrate this achievement and reward the entire crew, we treated everyone to a snow cone truck! By recognizing and rewarding the workers for their efforts to focus on safety initiatives, we have witnessed a significant improvement in site morale. We are making great strides toward achieving our safety goals, and we are proud to have a team that recognizes the importance of safety and is committed to going the extra mile to make it a reality.

The Butler-Cohen team was onsite for the official groundbreaking ceremony of the Ward County Law Enforcement Center in Monahans, TX, on March 20th. County Judge Greg Holly, Monahans Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Teresa Burnett, members of the Green Jackets, and many other community members were there to share a few words and officially kick off this exciting project.

We’re excited to see the progress on the Martin County Arenas, located in Stanton, Texas. The project, totaling nearly 200,000 sf, includes both an indoor and a covered arena, which will utilize Metl-Span Insulated Metal Panels on the walls, as well as American’s Loc Seam 360 Roof System.
